NAAA 100th Anniversary Video Released

This spring, Air Tractor and Transland are proud to support a series of Operation S.A.F.E. clinics to be conducted in California and in Texas. Among ag pilots, these events have long been seen as a learning experience, an opportunity to improve their own performance and increase their professionalism. Any licensed operator or agricultural aviator is welcome to participate in an Operation S.A.F.E. clinic.

California, April 4 & 6
The first Operation S.A.F.E. clinic is slated for April 4 at Colusa County Airport (O08) in northern California. Another clinic is scheduled for April 6 at Valley Air Crafts, an authorized Air Tractor dealer. The event will be conducted at Mefford Field Airport (TLR), in Tulare, California.

Both California Operation S.A.F.E. clinics will be administered by Richard Whitney of WRK of Oklahoma and Alan Corr, of Agri-Spray Consulting.

California aerial applicators can schedule their Operation S.A.F.E. clinic session by contacting the CAAA office: (916) 645-9747. Email: terry.gage@CAAA.net

Texas, April 12-13
The following week, an Operation S.A.F.E. Texas fly-in will be held April 12-13 at the Air Tractor headquarters and factory - Olney Municipal Airport (ONY).

The Texas fly-in is a two-day, first come-first served, come-and-go event. Dr. Dennis Gardisser, of WRK of Arkansas, will administer the Operation S.A.F.E. clinic.

Air Tractor will provide a free lunch each day. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour Air Tractor manufacturing facilities. Hotel accommodations and ground transportation between Wichita Falls and Olney are available for pilots staying overnight. A special rate is available at Homewood Suites by Hilton, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Pre-registration and additional information about the Texas Operation S.A.F.E. clinic is available at: www.translandllc.com/2017-texas-fly-in/

About Operation S.A.F.E. Clinics
Operation S.A.F.E. clinics allow aerial application operators and pilots to test their aircraft spray pattern for uniformity and droplet size. Operators work with a trained analyst to get a precise picture of their plane’s aerial spray pattern and receive on-the-spot recommendations to improve performance and mitigate spray drift.

Operation S.A.F.E. clinic activities include:
• Liquid pattern testing
• Operation S.A.F.E. program certification
• Application Technology program (available for CE credit)

The clinics are free to licensed aerial applicators. Members of the National Agricultural Aviation Association are eligible for a BASF Incentive of up to $225.
