"We're excited to be in a larger and more central location for our students. The additional training rooms will allow us to continue to provide focus and customized training for both new and recurrent pilots in both our Air Tractor and King Air sims.", said Jason Wolcott President of Turbine Training Center. "With Ag operations also transitioning into Helicopter spraying, with the additional room we are also adding a Bell 206 Simulator for Helicopter pilots that will be operational by the end of Oct. 2021."

The Community House was built via a joint effort between Manhattan citizens and the Rotarians of Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma to serve soldiers coming and going from World War I. "So many of our pilots are connected to the military in some way, including my dad and TTC founder Dale Wolcott, that being able to relocate into a historic building with such a rich background; is really a special opportunity," said Jason Wolcott. "Being located in downtown Manhattan will give our trainees and instructors a chance to visit the Little Apple outside of training hours, enjoy the restaurants and nightlife, and experience why we have made Manhattan, KS home for generations."

About Turbine Training Center

For over 20 years, Turbine Training Center has offered a turbine transition training course for ag pilots moving from piston and into turbine-powered aircraft. In addition to our classroom curriculum, we offer an added training dimension with the 502/802 Air Tractor simulator. By incorporating Air Tractor simulator time with the classroom familiarization of the PT6 and its operation, we are able to significantly enhance the knowledge and skills gained through the course. We can give the pilot repetition with normal, operating procedures of the turbine engine, but also have the ability to cover any and all emergency procedures which would not be possible in the actual aircraft in a controlled environment. Whether you are pursuing a career in agricultural aviation or a seasoned, high-time pilot, you can benefit from the safety and knowledge that is gained through initial or recurrent training.
