Dept Plans to Roll Out Agriculture in Aviation Project Next Year

THE Department of Agriculture and Livestock (DAL) intends to roll out its Agriculture in Aviation project to transport farm produce directly from the farmers to overseas markets in June next year.
Project director Jerry Karl said the project was designed to provide farmers with a “guaranteed market and better price especially for farmers in the rural areas of PNG.”


DAL will be partnering an Indonesian aviation company, Wisarada Sarau Aviation (WISEAIR), to deliver the project.
“What the department is embarking on through this project is basically looking at providing a stimulant through an ever-ready guaranteed market,” Karl said.
