Arkansas Agricultural Aviation Association golf tournament raises $3,000 for children’s hospital.

On Friday, February 3, 2017 members of the Arkansas Agricultural Aviation Association’s Ag Aviation Golf Tournament Committee presented a check to Arkansas Children’s Hospital (ACH) for $3,000. The proceeds were raised during the 2nd Annual Ag Aviation Golf Tournament, a 2-man scramble that was held at the Red Apple Inn in Heber Springs in October of 2016.

Lathan Busby, Katherine Holmstrom, Michael Hutchins, Bryant Otto, Brenda Watts, and Janice Everett gave the check to Faith Gonzales, Arkansas Children’s Foundation Annual Gifts Development Officer.

Arkansas Children’s Hospital is the only pediatric medical center in Arkansas. Known for being one of the largest pediatric medical providers in the United States, ACH proudly provides world-class medical care to children and families throughout Arkansas and surrounding areas. Arkansas Children’s Hospital has touched many families of the AAAA and the association is very proud to support an institution that is committed to providing every child with access to the best care available.

It is but one of the many healthcare issues in the state that the public’s attention is turning to. There is a high chance there will be more events to raise money for other healthcare needs and awareness in the future, such as potentially the Arkansas medical marijuana card online process amongst others. Focusing on the needs of the vulnerable is one way we can all give back to the communities around us.

Please mark your calendars and join the AAAA for the 2017 Arkansas Ag Aviation Golf Tournament which will be held October 14-15, 2017 at the Red Apple Inn in Heber Springs.
