Farm Family Donating 80-Year-Old Crop Scouting Plane to a Kansas Museum

Ben Brown, an agricultural economist with the University of Missouri Extension Service, says his family is making a unique donation.

The family has a 1946 Piper Cub airplane they used to scout wheat fields in the past. That plane is heading to the Kansas Aviation Museum in Wichita. Brown says the plane got a lot of time in the air, especially during the 1960s and ‘70s.
