Regina’s Perceptions

NAAA 100th Anniversary Video Released

As the 2017 year has come to a close, we all have a chance to take a breath and look forward to a new year.  We all cross our fingers hoping that the tides turn our way in our ag-aviation industry and we have a safe and prosperous new year.

I've been working in the industry since 1992, and have met many new friends along the way.  As I mentioned to my co-worker Denise the other day, the convention season is like having a family reunion with our ag-aviation friends and vendors being like a second family. As someone mentioned "I guarantee you if you were stranded in any area of the country you'd have someone watching over you and finding a way to help".  What a great industry to be in!

For many years I was not able to travel like I am now. The onset of the online industry has allowed me and our customers to be able to travel and work at the same time. What a blessing it has been to meet so many people that I'd only talked to on the phone for many years!

We've visited many homes where they've fed us, businesses where they've welcomed us in their offices, traveled to over 18 states in one year and conversed with many new friends on Facebook.

My business partner John Farris and I have worked really hard at trying to understand the needs of the ag aviation industry. One of the things that we find so challenging is that each region, state and business has their unique way of doing things. We try to work hard at meeting those needs and the regulations that are being implemented.

As I visit each convention, I see the volunteers in each state (including the spouses) work so hard to make each convention a success. As with most successful endeavors, it takes a team and a hard working one at that! Kudos to each and every one of you who takes up the slack on doing what it takes to help the industry. Raising funds are key to keep our industry going.

Let's all work hard on having a safe and successful year! I hope to see you soon in my travels!
