Nebraska’s Brent Stewart named “Airman of the Year”.

Each year the Nebraska Aviation Trades Association presents its most distinguished award, Airman
of the Year, to one of its members who has shown outstanding dedication and support to the agricultural
aviation industry.

Stewart attended Western Nebraska Technical College in Sydney, Nebraska and in 1983 received
his degree in aviation maintenance technology. He was a sponge to the aviation world.
He worked full time and every dime he had went back into learning to fly. In 1986 he became a
FAA maintenance inspector. His flying career started in 1983 and he has flown in Nebraska,
Colorado, Kansas, Iowa, and even Australia.

In 1989 he bought his own business in Minden and In 2010 Brent sold the businesses to the
Aurora Coop and still manages the business.
